Coming very soon folks to the south-side of Cork city and Western Suburbs an after school Athletic Movement Skills class for kids and teenagers. Details for 3 different groups;
 5-11 year olds 
Mondays and Wednesdays at 3.15 @Fitnessworx, Tramore road, Cork
12-15 year olds
Mondays and Wednesdays at 3.45 @Fitnessworx, Tramore road, Cork
15+ 
Mondays and Wednesdays at 5.00 @Carrig House, Main Rd. Ballincollig, Cork

 
These classes are based on the particular needs of children of various development stages and heavily backed by applied research.
Age differences are irrelevant as these classes are created to allow the individual develop within the group at their own pace. This is not competitive sport, but we will play competitive games to develop movement skills and physical literacy.
These classes will suit any kids of any level, be they inactive or multi-sport participants, while the reasoning and effects may differ, the benefits are similar. producing better and more robust movers.
Modern sedentary lifestyle is having a tragic effect on children and adolescents, these classes aim to recreate some of the old school games, movements and self-discovery us adults enjoyed in a more secure structure environment.

The kids will run and jump, land, twist, turn, play, make decisions, learn to brace, hang pull up, dive and anything else we can design.
The classes will change every session but will be fundamentally built through a Learning Environment designed to develop

• Motor Skills
• Discovery
• Decision making
• Teamwork
• Confidence

​We will be using a various amount of methods coming from many spheres, but our ideas are largely based on the "Athletic Skills Model". A model developed by leading researchers with very long term experience and a modern take similar to that used at the famous Ajax Football Club in 80's and 90's with also a heavy influence from Dutch, Australian, Swedish and Finnish Education and research. There will also be a significant emphasis on TGfU (Teaching Games for Understanding)

All prices are for 8 sessions be it 2 x week for 4 weeks OR 1 x week for 8weeks.

***Please note, if your child can only book in for 1 day per week, then they will be paying for 2 months. But please remember it only works in these blocks. There is no holding over of sessions***
